Major Hopkins and Sgt. Major Gladbach, from BTech JROTC, visited the high school to give them teamwork exercises. They stressed the importance of working with each now and in the future when they would encounter people of many different cultures.

The Council for Drug Free Youth spoke to upper-grade students at Cooper County R-IV School as part of Red Ribbon Week festivities. Students learned important information about the dangers and health risks associated with vaping.

The junior high girls Lady Dragons basketball team won the consolation trophy in the Show-Me Central Conference tournament, beating Tuscumbia 19-17 in Overtime. Way to go, girls.

The Vienna Junior High Girls game that was canceled last week is rescheduled to be played at Bunceton on Monday, Sept 29 starting at 6:00,
The Jr High basketball games scheduled for Sept 16&17 have been canceled. The 17th game with PH has been rescheduled for Sept 25.
The School Carnival is Oct 3. Students may pick up more raffle tickets when they bring in money for tickets sold. See Mrs. Wolpers before or after school.
The Junior Class tee shirt fundraiser ends this Friday, September 12. The cost is $25. If interested please see a Junior or Mrs. Thompson by Friday.
